Flood Lights –
These luminaires flood the wall with brightness. It can also be used in outdoor applications in which high-intensity lighting is required. The specialty of floodlights is that they can cover a large area with light, creates a handsome nocturnal scene, and leave no chance of dark spots.
Tips – installing floodlights to illuminate façade –
Mount these lights in the ground for covering the proper space wall. These three factors need o be considered –
- Distance – We recommend you place these lights at the distance of 3/4th times of the height of the building. For instance, if a building is 36 feet tall, then place these fixtures 27 feet away from the building. If you place these lights closer to the building, it will create a daylight effect and ruin the nigh-time scene with non-uniform lighting.
- Spacing – The gap between two floods should not exceed twice their distance from the wall. In this case, it should not be placed 54 feet apart.
- Direction – The Direction of light should be towards the building and should be aimed at minimum 2/3rd of the building height. In this case, keep the aiming point about 24 feet high. You can adjust the angle once it is properly installed.
Wall washers –
Wall washer LED lights are designed specially to give an extensive look to the walls. The ability to shed uniform lights within different colors is what brings these lights in the list of illuminating façade. These lights bathe the walls with up lighting and add lavish colors to the façade of the building.
Up and Down Lights –
Another more effective way of lighting up the facade is to install with up-down lights. These lights provide the best look if they are installed at the mid-length of the wall. It provides up and down lighting at the same time and creates an extraordinary ambiance to your building.
Bollards –
The bollards complete the look of front lawn with the installation of landscape lights. They are also used to highlight path.
Strip Lights –
Strips can add an extra plug-in to the front look. Install these tapes at the window boundaries and make a beautiful combination of colors.
